Corinna Pharaoh began gardening at home when she was a child, carrying on in the family tradition - her grandfather was a Leicestershire market gardener.  She now enjoys sharing its' magic with her own children.

Corinna and her husband Rob moved to Norfolk eight years ago from Kent.  When they arrived the garden had limited seventies landscaping, some old apple trees and the only indication of the former Edwardian garden was a collection of box hedges and mature Cedar Trees.  They have worked hard, planted native trees, begun coppicing the hazel again and created an organic garden that produces all of their vegetables, herbs and flowers year round, it's a playground for the whole family and a thriving natural habitat for some rare species including stag beetles and swallowtail butterflies.

The organic one acre garden has a series of generous spaces for entertaining and relaxing, growing flowers, vegetables, herbs and fruit.  The flower and vegetable garden, a working garden, supplies the raw ingredients for all of the courses, run like a market garden, but designed to be beautiful too.  The vegetable garden is enclosed on three sides by hot, exhuberant planting and a tropical area, which contrasts wonderfully with the greens of the vegetables, and gives a 'plantation' feeling.

A large terrace opens directly off both the kitchen and garden room and is surrounded by lots of box in different forms, a dipping pool and low maintenance ornamental planting in soft purples, yellows and greens, that has scent, movement for summer and structure for winter.  This space leads on one side to the herb and fruit garden with woven hazel raised beds and trained trees, and on the other side the Cruck Marquee, used for eating, courses and demonstrations in the warmer months.
